The Apple Vision Pro is not yet available, but it is already possible to view Spatial Videos on other 3D devices. You need to know this!
Watch Spatial Videos without Apple Vision Pro
The beta version of iOS 17.2 includes a feature that allows the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to record Spatial Videos. Those videos are intended for the Apple Vision Pro headset that has yet to appear on the market. It is therefore not yet possible to view the videos in 3D on an Apple device.

But thanks to a workaround that YouTuber Hugh Hou shared, it is possible to watch Spatial Videos on the Meta Quest 3 and other 3D devices. Earlier this week, Hou showed how to manipulate Spatial Videos so they work on Meta’s VR headset. Watch the video below:
This is what you need for it
To record Spatial Videos you need an iPhone 15 Pro with iOS 17.2 beta. The beta is available to developers and public beta testers. You can download it by going to your iPhone’s settings and enabling beta updates. To do this, your account must be registered with the free account developer program of Apple.
After the iOS 17.2 update, you need to enable Spatial Video Recording in the Camera settings after the iOS 17.2 update and you have the Spatialify app from TestFlight necessary.
The app has instructions for decoding and exporting the content in a format that Meta Quest 3 or other 3D headsets and TVs support. There is an additional step for encoding 3D metadata. It’s not an easy process, but it’s fun to try out while the Vision Pro headset isn’t available yet. After all, the spatial computer will not appear until 2024 or even 2025.
