Send a personal message? For example, when it’s someone’s birthday or has a new job. Sharing a sound recording via WhatsApp is easy. You then leave a message and the recipient hears what you say.
Send sound recording
Send a sound recording via WhatsApp like this:
- Tap the app whatsapp.
- Tap the tab chats.
- Tap a conversation.
- Tap and hold a microphone icon at the bottom right.
- The sound recording starts. You can talk, sing, whatever you want. Your phone may ask for permission to use the microphone. Give permission for this, otherwise it won’t work.
- Is the recording completely wrong? Then swipe the screen to the left so that the sound recording ends up in the trash.
- Release the microphone tag when you are finished speaking.
The message is sent immediately. The receiver plays the recording by tapping the play button.
