Best iOS Games September 2019
Last month, Apple Arcade launched with more than 70 new games. Read our Apple Arcade review to find out what we think of this new service. In addition, there are of course also games that are not part of this subscription. We list the best for you again.
1. Mario Kart Tour
The latest Nintendo game is now available in the App Store. This time, the Japanese company has chosen to create a mobile version of the popular Mario Kart. The emphasis in Mario Kart Tour is not so much on the racing, but mainly on unlocking characters, karts and gliders. In-app purchases play a very important role in this. Yet it is also simply a very fun and charming racing game that you can actually get good at. We just can not get enough of it.
2. Inbento
If you are looking for something more relaxing, Inbento is the place to be. In this adorable puzzle game, you are a mother cat who makes lunches for her kitten. This is done in a typical Japanese style, with rice, fish, seaweed and more. Your goal is to create a specific end product in each puzzle with the ingredients you have. That is fun to do and as a reward you also get a cute story in between.
3. Football Drama
In the plethora of football games on the market, Football Drama does things differently. In this game you are a football manager who has to help a club get back on its feet. You do that in two ways. First of all, of course, there are the football matches. You choose whether your team takes it easy or takes risks, and by playing tactical cards you gain the advantage. But also off the field you have to make choices in conversations that influence the future of you and your team. It’s something different again.
4. Escape Funky Island
You are a detective on a very strange island, where you are looking for the pieces of a map. The puzzles in the game mainly consist of combining the right objects in order to achieve something in the environment. That makes for an accessible game, with enough humor and a nice style.
5. Detention
Want an adventure game that’s a little more mature? And mainly scares you? Then you should be at Detention. You wake up in a classroom at school with everyone else gone. You start looking for the exit, but soon you come across a girl who has lost her necklace. You decide to help her search the dark school full of secrets. That is terrifying.
