Ordered a package, but not at home when it is delivered? Set PostNL where it will be delivered in that case.
Deliver package
Sometimes the parcel deliverer just comes by when you are not at home. Where is the package then? With the ‘non-home preference’ in your PostNL account you determine where orders are delivered when you are not there for a while. There are three options: at the neighbors (this is set by default), at a PostNL point in the area or at a place around the house.
Set not-home preference
Determine where a package should be delivered when you are not at home:
- Go to www.postnl.nl and log in if necessary.
- Click on your account name in the top right and then on My details.
- click on Delivery preferences.
- Click Change.
- Choose from one of three options: The Neighbors (default), A PostNL point nearby or An agreed place.
Do you opt for delivery to your neighbors or to a PostNL point? Then click on the appropriate option and on Save. The Track and Trace link of the package states at which PostNL point it will be delivered.
- Have a package delivered to an agreed place? Click on that option and choose a spot, for example ‘Garden’.
- In the “Additional Information” field, type where exactly it should be left. For example ‘behind the blue container’.
- Put a tick in front of Read and agree.
- click on Save.
