Hide a board on Pinterest so only you can see it.
What is Pinterest?
On Pinterest, people collect images on a digital bulletin board. Think of the ‘Interior’ sign with photos of beautiful furniture. Have you created a board that no one can see, such as a board with inspirational photos of gifts? Then set it to private, so that others can’t view the board.
Set board to private via PC
- Go to www.pinterest.com and log in.
- Click on your username or initials at the top right.
- Hover over the board you want to make private.
- A pencil icon appears next to the board name
. Click on this. - A window opens. Put a check in Hide this board.
- click on Ready.
Only you can view the sign. Repeat the steps above to set a board back to private. Then just uncheck ‘Hide this board’.
Set board to private on iPhone/iPad
- Open the Pinterest app.
- Tap on Profile.
- Tap the board you want to make private.
- Tap the three dots at the top right.
- Tap on Edit board.
- Tap on Make this board hidden.
- At the top right, tap Ready.
The sign is set to private. Do you want to undo this? Tap again Make this board hidden and then on make public > Ready.
Set board to private on Android device
- Open Pinterest.
- Tap a doll icon.
- Tap the board you want to make private.
- Tap the icon with the three dots.
- Tap on Edit board.
- Tap on Hide this board.
- At the top right, tap Ready.
The sign is set to private. Do you want to undo this? Then tap again Edit this board and then on Visible > Ready.
