We can’t make it more fun, but it can be easier. By setting an alarm on your Apple Watch, oversleeping becomes a lot more difficult, because it always rings. Adding an alarm clock is a breeze and it goes.

Add alarm clock on Apple Watch

Do you sleep with your Apple Watch? Then it is wise to set an alarm on your watch. This alarm always goes off, whether you have the accessory on or not. When you set an alarm via your iPhone, the alarm will only go off on the Apple Watch when you have the watch on.

Here’s how to add an alarm to your Apple Watch:

  1. Open the Alarm Clock app on your Apple Watch, which can be recognized by the clock icon;
  2. Tap on ‘New alarm clock’;
  3. Indicate what time you want to be awakened by turning the Digital Crown;
  4. Tap the switch to turn on the alarm.

Do you like to snooze? Then tap the wake up time to set advanced options. Here you can, for example, indicate that your alarm clock repeats every five minutes. If you are woken up in the morning and press the Digital Crown, you will automatically snooze for nine minutes.

However, you may be an early riser and hate to snooze. In that case, it is good to know that you can turn off the snooze function completely. To do this, dive into the Alarm Clock app of your Apple Watch. Then choose the appropriate alarm and tap the switch next to ‘Snooze’. As soon as the box turns gray, you can no longer snooze in the morning.
