Shazam introduces the Shazam Viral Charts, a new way to follow the most popular songs of the moment. As a music lover you get a nice insight into the fastest growing hits from all over the world.

These charts are updated daily on Shazam and Apple Music. With Shazams’ own detection method, it becomes visible in real time which numbers go viral. They are then arranged based on their growth in Shazam search assignments that week. It is not just about Tiktok hypes or social media hits, these lists catch all moments when a song suddenly pops up everywhere: from films and TV series to large events and from streaming services to radio.

More and more, songs find their way to the charts in surprising ways. For example, Doechii’s Tiktok sensation “Anxiety” became a hit, and Billy Preston’s “Nothing From Nothing” suddenly reached fourth place in the US after a memorable scene in the season finale of The White Lotus. In addition, it was noticeable that there were no fewer than 31 songs in Shazams’ end -of -year list that had already been released before 2022 – think of “Unwritten” by Natasha Beetingfield (2004) and “Bloody Mary” by Lady Gaga (2011).

Thanks to the daily updates of the Shazam Viral Charts you can easily keep track of everything: breakthrough hits that make artists famous in one fell swoop, local gems that conquer the world, and old favorites that are completely back. The Shazam Viral Charts give you a complete global overview, with one worldwide list of 50 numbers and 42 national lists with 25 tracks each.
