This year, Shelby ancestor Carroll Shelby, who died in 2012, would celebrate his 98th birthday. As a tribute, Shelby comes up with the ultimate fun machine based on the Mustang. We welcome: the Shelby Super Snake Speedster.
Shelby has been carrying fierce versions of cars such as the Ford Mustang and F-150 for years under the name Super Snake. The company pays tribute to founder Carroll Shelby and will release 98 of each version of the 2021 model year Super Snake this year. More special: there are also 98 copies available as Super Snake Speedster.
The Shelby Super Snake is a Mustang GT whose 5.0 V8, thanks to a large supercharger, has been boosted to no less than 837 hp. With that, he rumbles to 100 km / h in just over 3.5 seconds. Shelby has taken care of the cooling of the eight-cylinder, gives it a modified manual gearbox (an automatic transmission is also available) and mounts not only extra biting brakes from Brembo, but also special 20-inch light metal. These changes apply to the entire 2021 Super Snake line, but much more interesting is the Super Snake Speedster Edition that Shelby created. This special variant is a Mustang Convertible with signature Super Snake bumper work, as well as a striking tonneau with two Speedster humps behind the headrests. The Speedster also has a set of racing stripes, special door sill plates and, you guessed it, unique floor mats and special badges. Ultimate summer toy?
