Every Sunday you can read a column by John Vanderaart on pcactive.nl. Enjoy with a cup of coffee about shopping with an app.

Recently my son gave a dinner in his ‘tiny apartment’. That small scale is reflected in his small kitchen with a fridge with a freezer compartment. That in itself makes little difference to him, because for him Albert Heijn has fallen twice and is open until 22:00 in the evening. Just not now, because we were in the umpteenth Corona lockdown. The panic – for me – set in the moment there were no more ice cubes. And I didn’t mind, but just 10 minutes later a delivery person was at the door. Including ice cubes. I complimented my son on his foresight. “Why foresight? Gorillas!” In other words, a new delivery service that can deliver within 15 minutes. And he hadn’t even touched his computer. “Why computer? You order with an app.” I want to correct that, because you MUST order with an app. Personally, I prefer to order behind the PC using the web browser, but I am also old-fashioned. “How modern? Old pancake!”
