Signature under email on iPad

Save time typing emails. Use a default signature on the iPad.

In the Mail app on the iPad, you can receive and send email. You may have noticed that by default, “Sent from my iPad” appears at the bottom of your email. You can leave this text or delete it each time. But it is also possible to adjust this default text. For example, enter a greeting and your name here. This saves typing when sending an e-mail.

Adjust the default text like this:

  • Tap on Institutions.
  • Tap on Mail.
  • Tap on Signature.
  • If you have set up more than one account and want to use the same signature everywhere, make sure you check ‘All accounts’. (In the next section, read the instruction for different accounts, each with their own signature.)
  • Tap behind the text of the current signature and press the Backspace key until the entire text is gone.
  • Enter the desired text. For example ‘Sincerely, [uw naam]’.

Have you set up multiple email accounts on the iPad? You can also set a separate signature for each email address.

  • Tap on Institutions.
  • Tap on Mail.
  • Tap on Signature.
  • Tap on By account.
  • The names of the various mail accounts appear, each with a white area in front of the signature. Delete the current text and type the desired text.
