As of March 1, 2022, SilverLine is the importer / distributor for MUTT Motorcycles in the Benelux. The IJsselstein-based company of Mark Stroop thus takes over from Black Flamingo Moto of Arjan van den Boom and Paul van Mondfrans Lindén, who will focus entirely on customizing motorcycles.
We had honestly never heard of it until last year, from the British MUTT Motorcycles, until the press release reached us that Black Flamingo Moto had taken over the importership from the Belgian importer who had retired in 2020 and the brand also put the Netherlands on the market.
Operating across much of Europe, Asia and Australia, MUTT Motorcycles was founded in 2013 in Birmingham by Benny Thomas and Will Rigg. After 15 years of customizing Harley-Davidsons, Indians and Triumphs, they decided to make an affordable custom. One that you can easily grab to go into town or to look for the forest roads.
Based on an extremely reliable and super-efficient 125cc Suzuki engine, a next-level custom motorcycle was built, with the same high-end quality and vintage looks as the extremely expensive creations as before. But then for less than four thousand euros.
With names like Mastiff, Fat Sabbath and Razorback, the models look as slick as they sound. Recently, 250cc models have also been available, and behind the scenes work is being done on models with a larger displacement, and an electric variant. MUTT Motorcycles also supplies an extensive line of clothing and accessories under the name House of the Unholy.
The styling can be called as back-to-basic in all respects. Or to use a well-known marketing slogan: “No frills, that makes a difference.” A mix of classic black steel frames, modern LED lighting, café racer seats, aluminum fenders, Monza-style fuel caps, studded tires and minimalist dashboards. It is clear that MUTT Motorcycles is targeting the Cool Customer.
In addition to being an importer / distributor, SilverLine is also the only official MUTT Motorcycles dealer in the Benelux. For more information about the bikes, visit www.muttmotorcycles.com or Instagram: @muttbenelux.
