Siri reveals iPhone’s hidden potential through 5 masterful commands

Siri is the ultimate smart assistant for every iPhone user. The voice assistant helps you perform everyday tasks on your smartphone, making your life a lot easier. Some assignments are even indispensable.

If you don’t or hardly use Siri, the commands below may change your mind. As far as we are concerned, they are essential to get the most out of your smartphone.

Siri commands every iPhone owner should use

Here are the 5 Siri commands everyone with an iPhone should be using.

#1 Ask for updates

Why open an app on your iPhone when you can ask Siri how things are going? Asking Siri for an update on the weather, news, reminders, and calendar is a great way to start each day. This way you are immediately informed of everything that is important that day.

#2 Adjust settings

Siri can do much more than just provide information. For example, your iPhone’s voice assistant is also able to change settings, such as the screen brightness. Do you find the screen too bright at the moment? Then ask Siri to dim it for you! It can be that easy.

#3 Let your iPhone turn off

It might be even easier that Siri is also able to turn off your iPhone. You just have to ask and then confirm. This can be super handy if your device suddenly stops responding to your touches. Restarting your smartphone can often fix any problems.

#4 Imagine yourself as a real wizard

For the biggest Harry Potterfans are unlikely to know about this next trick. It is possible to turn the flashlight of your iPhone on and off by means of spells.

Say “Hey Siri, Lumos” to turn the flashlight on and use the spell “Nox” to turn it off. You can also open an app by saying “Accio” followed by the name of the app.

#5 Set a timer or alarm

Of course you can ask Siri for the time at any time of the day, but the assistant is also great at setting alarms and timers. This way you never have to search for the Clock app on your iPhone with dirty fingers while cooking. It will save you a lot of time and effort.
