Already with the introduction of the Enyaq iV, Skoda promised the arrival of a sporty RS. To date, the Czechs have not shown the Skoda Enyaq iV RS, but a little over two years after making its promise, the Enyaq iV RS has finally been unveiled.

When Skoda pulled the curtain on its first electric car in September 2020, the brand already reported the arrival of a series of variants. One of them would be a real sporty RS. However, it was the Enyaq Coupé iV presented at the beginning of 2022 and, according to the folder, with a more dynamically designed Enyaq Coupé iV that was the first to bear the RS label. Now the RS version of the more conventionally lined Skoda Enyaq iV has finally been presented. This is the Skoda Enyaq iV RS.
For those who are familiar with the Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV RS, the Enyaq iV RS – so without Coupé addition – does not bring much news. Just like the Enyaq Coupé iV RS, the Enyaq iV RS offers 299 hp and 460 Nm of electrical power thanks to two electric motors. It sprints to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. That is not very fast in EV country, but it is nicely faster than the plug-in hybrid Skoda Octavia iV RS, which takes 7.3 counts for the same sprint. The top speed of the Skoda Enyaq iV RS is 180 km/h above that of the more modest motorized Enyaqs, which are limited to 160 km/h.
Those who are not too often tempted to press the power pedal deeply, should be able to squeeze a WLTP range of just over 500 kilometers from the 82 kWh battery. Charging is possible with a maximum of 135 kW, with the result that the battery pack can be filled with electricity from 10 to 80 percent of its capacity in 36 minutes.
Skoda Enyaq iV RS
From the outside you can recognize the RS, among other things, by its specific bumper work, black finish around the grille, in the bumpers, around the side windows, on the sills and on the mirror caps. In addition, the Skoda Enyaq iV RS has the so-called Crystal Face as standard, the grille between the headlights made up of transparent and illuminated vertical slats. The 20- or 21-inch measuring alloy wheels are also landmarks. Skoda supplies the Enyaq iV RS, just like the Enyaq Coupé iV RS, for those who want it, also in the Mamba Green, which is specially available for the RS versions, called green. The RS genes are also reflected in the interior. Skoda’s sportiest electric SUV features black suede on the dashboard, carbon fiber trimlook on the door panels, sports seats with integrated headrests and green stitching, a black headliner and a three-spoke sports steering wheel.
The Enyaq iV and Enyaq Coupé iV have not harmed Skoda. Soon the 100,000th copy will leave the factory gates in Mladá Boleslav.
