Nice chat

Not only Volkswagen, but also sister brand Skoda will use ChatGPT. This should significantly improve the possibilities with the voice assistant.
Like several other car manufacturers, Volkswagen embraces ChatGPT, as it showed earlier this week in Las Vegas. Sister brand Skoda follows, not entirely surprisingly. It has now been announced that the chat service based on artificial intelligence will be integrated into Skoda’s voice assistant Laura. The basis of the system, just like with Volkswagen, is Cerence Chat Pro from software company Cerence.
Thanks to ChatGPT, you should not only be able to have entire conversations with Laura, but the digital chatterbox can operate all kinds of things in the car. This way you can give ‘her’ navigation commands and change the temperature in the car. Just like with ChatGPT, Laura can refer back to previous information. Giving a command or starting a conversation starts with ‘okay, Laura’ or with the press of a button on the steering wheel. The more extensive voice assistant will be available in the middle of this year on the updated infotainment systems of the Skoda’s Enyaq, Superb, Kodiaq and Octavia.
