Skoda Octavia produced seven million times

Skoda has achieved a new production milestone with the Octavia. Seven million Octavia’s were born in 61 years.

During the production of the just-presented fourth generation of the Octavia, Skoda reached a new milestone with the family car. The seven millionth Octavia was produced in Mladá Boleslav. Skoda began its Octavia history in 1959. From that first generation, a total of 365,400 were built until 1971. Until 1996 it remained silent around the Octavia, until Skoda breathed new life into the car.

From the first modern Octavia, Skoda built around 1,442,000 units until the end of 2010. For Europe, the second modern generation was born in 2004. In total, more than 2.5 million Skoda customers bought this car. Skoda managed to find 2.8 million customers for the emerging Octavia that has been sold since 2012. Last November Skoda pulled the canvas of the newest generation of his most popular model. So during the production of the first models from that series, Skoda now achieved a new production milestone.

In the Netherlands since 1997 a total of 102,602 people have bought a new Octavia. It is therefore also the most popular Skoda in our country.
