Wrapped up for a while
Smart tries with all his might to warm up the mood for the arrival of the #3. The Smart #3 will make its public debut on April 18, but before the brand shows the car in full, it will release a bunch of photos of a packed copy.
After #1 comes … #3. The Smart #3 will be the second new model after the #1 since it is half owned by the Chinese Geely. Smart will pull the curtain on its new electric model on April 18 and released the first design sketches earlier this week. But the warm-up round isn’t over yet. Smart is now sending a set of photos of the actual but still wrapped #3 to the world via its Chinese social channels.
The Smart #3 will be 4.4 meters long, making it just under 20 centimeters larger than the largest Smart ever to date: the #1. The #3 will be a crossover with a steeply sloping roofline from the B-pillar. Smart describes it as a car with a fastback silhouette. AutoWeek could already show you the Smart #3 extensively without stickers last year. The Smart #3 comes on the market with a 272 hp electric motor on the rear axle and as a four-wheel drive with the same engine and a 156 hp copy on the front axle. On April 18, we will know everything about the Smart #3. According to the brand, it is now busy to homologate the #3 for the European market. Once that process is complete, it will release details such as the WLTP range.
