Housing
The Pixel 9A is slightly larger and heavier than the iPhone 16th. It measures 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs 186 g. The iPhone 16th comes at 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm and 167 g. Both devices have a frame of aluminum and a front of glass. The back of the iPhone 16 is also made of glass, but that of the Pixel 9a is made of plastic. That is one of the reasons that Google was able to keep the price of the Pixel 9a low.

Screen
The Pixel 9A is not for nothing greater, because it also has a larger screen: a 6.3-inch p-oled compared to a 6.1-inch super retina xdr OLED. The resolution of the pixel screen is 1080 x 2424 pixels. The screen of the iPhone 16th has a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels. This means that the image of the iPhone is a bit sharper (457 pixels per inch compared to 422 ppi).
The pixel also has thicker edges around the screen, because the screen-to-body ratio is 83.5 percent, compared to 87.1 percent with the iPhone. In contrast to the 16th, the 9a does have an always-on screen.

Camera
With the cameras we see quite a few differences. For example, the Pixel 9A has a wide -angle camera of 48 megapixel with an aperture of f/1.7, and also an ultra -wide corner camera of 13 megapixels with a diaphragm of f/2.2. The iPhone has to do without an ultra-wide angle, but does have a 48MP wide angle with an aperture of f/1.6. This means that the lens of the iPhone lets in a little more light. Moreover, with the iPhone you can zoom in up to 2x without loss of quality. The cameras on both devices are great for home-garden-and-kitchen use.
The same applies to the front camera: the Pixel 9A has a 13 megapixel camera here with an aperture of f/2.2, the iPhone has a 12 megapixel camera with a diaphragm of f/1.9. But it may be clear that you make excellent selfies with both devices.

Performance
It is always difficult to compare the performance of different devices. If we look at the processors we see that the Google Tensor G4 is an octa-core (1x 3.1 GHz & 3x 2.6 GHz and 4x 1.9 GHz. The A18 from Apple is a hexa-core (2x 4.04 GHz + 4x 2.20 GHz). So the difference is therefore in the pixel, so the pixel will be in the pixel, so the pixel will be in the pixel, so the pixel will be in the pixel 9a, so the pixel will be in the pixel, so the pixel is also in the pixel 9aa, so the pixel will also be the pixel 9a, so the pixel will also be in the pixel 9a. Even smaller in terms of processor, we can say that both devices perform at a similar level.
In addition, both smartphones have 8 GB of memory. In general, Apple always knows how to get something more out of the working memory than other manufacturers, but the difference will not be that great here either. In practice you probably don’t notice any difference, especially when you don’t have your smartphone perform very heavy tasks.
Battery
That also applies to the battery. On paper, the Pixel 9A has a battery that is more powerful: 5100 mAh compared to 4005 mAh. The pixel battery is a lithium polymer battery and that of the iPhone a lithium ion battery. A Li-PO battery is easier to process, but does not have the same energy density and the same lifespan as a Li-ion.
Moreover, just like with the working memory, Apple generally gets more out of the battery than other manufacturers. Unfortunately we have not been able to do a practical test to prove this. In any case, Google indicates that the Pixel 9A lasts for 30 hours on a full battery charge for ‘normal’. Apple says that you can watch video with the iPhone 16th to 26 hours.
