‘Some Apple products only appear during the event in October’

It’s going to be exciting again, because new Apple products will be released soon. But various rumors indicate that some devices will only be presented after the Apple event in October.

‘Second Apple event in October’

Last week it was rumored that Apple will announce the iPhone 14 during an Apple event on September 7. According to Mark Gurman and his Power-On Newsletter however, it does not stop there.

According to the analyst, a number of new products will only appear after the Apple event in October. It concerns new iPads, Macs and their new operating systems: iPadOS 16 and macOS 13 Ventura.

iPad Pro 2022

Apple event: iPad 2022 (10th generation) and iPad Pro

Usually reliable Mark Gurman talks in his newsletter about ‘a renewed iPad Pro with an M2 processor’. This would be two versions with different screen types. According to him, the 11-inch iPad Pro 2022 with LCD screen and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with mini LED will have a MagSafe connection.

We also expect a new ‘normal’ iPad in the Apple event in October. This iPad 2022 (10th generation) with Retina display will have a USB-C port instead of the ‘obsolete’ Lightning connection. You can also connect this iPad to external monitors.

Apple event in October will announce MacBook Pros

Rumors of new versions of Apple’s Macs aren’t new. According to Mark Gurman, we’ll be hearing more about this pretty soon. The Apple event in October is also dominated by a 14-inch and a 16-inch MacBook Pro. These will receive the (as yet unannounced) M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.

We have been enjoying the new Mac Studio for half a year now. That means there should be a new Mac mini soon (as far as fans are concerned). The previous version dates back to 2020. Which processor will the new mini get? Just the regular M2 chip (which is also in the latest MacBook Air) or a more powerful variant?

macOS Apple event

New software: iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura

iOS 16, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 will be available on your Apple devices in September, but the iPads and Macs will have to wait a little longer. Apple will not launch iPadOS 16 and macOS 13 Ventura for all users until October after the Apple event.

With iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura, the iPad and the Mac are becoming more and more similar. This is mainly due to Stage Manager. With this function you can, among other things, make windows larger and smaller and center apps. In short, this feature makes your iPad and Mac even better at multitasking. However, we are not completely convinced yet.
