Spotify Daylist: The New Feature You’ll Want to Try Right Away

Spotify is introducing a new feature called Daylist and you’ll want to try it out right away. But what can you actually do with it?

Spotify Daylist: The New Feature You’ll Want to Try Right Away

Spotify is launching a new playlist called Daylist. This is a playlist that the music service creates especially for you. It looks at the music that you normally listen to at certain times of the day.

The new feature was already available in other countries last year, but now the Netherlands is finally getting its turn. And the great thing is that the feature is not only available for paid subscribers: users of the free version also get the new playlist.

If you like a Spotify Daylist, you can also save it to listen to later. Spotify updates the list several times a day, so you can build up a whole collection of new playlists quite quickly.

How can you view your Spotify Daylist?

The list should appear under the heading ‘Especially for you’, but that is not the case for everyone. Is the Daylist not there for you yet? Then you have to search for it. The fastest way to do that is as follows.

View and listen to Spotify Daylist

  1. Launch the Spotify app;

  2. Tap the ‘Search’ button at the bottom;

  3. In the search box, type ‘daylist’;

  4. The current daylist will appear in the search results.

Please note that under the name of the playlist it says ‘Playlist • Spotify’. Then you know that you have the official Spotify playlist.

Spotify Daylist: every playlist has its own name

Each Daylist also gets its own name. This is based on the type of music you’ve been listening to. The name can therefore sound a bit strange. For example, we created the ‘Tekk Hypertechno Thrusday Morning’ playlist. Let us know in the comments what your playlist is called!
