SsangYong has presented the electric Torres EVX. The SsangYong EVX is an interesting car, because it seems to be coming to the Netherlands.
SsangYong seems to be saved from possible demise for the time being. The brand certainly did not prosper for a long time, but during that difficult period SsangYong launched a completely new SUV last year: the Torres. The SsangYong Torres introduced an entirely new design language. The Torres (photos 4 to 7) falls in size between the Korando and the Rexton. The Torres was initially only presented with combustion engines, but SsangYong already indicated that an electric variant will come to Europe and therefore most likely also to the Netherlands.
The electric SsangYong Torres was initially known as U100, but is now called Torres EVX. Furthermore, SsangYong releases the first images. What seems? It will have a different front than the model with combustion engines. For example, it has its own headlight party, consisting of flat LED daytime running lights that are visually connected to each other by means of LED blocks. The actual headlights are located one floor lower in the front and with that SsangYong also walks the path of split headlight units. Logically, the front bumper of the Torres EVX is different from that of the already known versions of the SUV.
Even the interior of the electric Torres EVX differs from that of its existing siblings. In the EVX, the digital instrumentation and the infotainment screen are visually merged. The electric SsangYong Torres EVX is coming to Europe at the end of this year. Technical specifications are not yet available. They will follow – together with extensive footage – later this month.
