Electronic Arts and Broadsword Online presented new content from Game Update 7.5 during a livestream Star Wars: The Old Republic revealed. The update introduces the next chapter in the game, a new farm for players to grow crops on, the first of many new Single Player Ventures, and much more. The exact release date will be announced very soon.
Watch the livestream here or take a look below for a detailed overview of the content players can expect:
- A new chapter: ‘Desperate Defiance’ – Following the events of ‘Chains in the Dark’, players will recruit Sa’har as a new companion. Together they embark on a risky mission to obtain the holocron and possibly learn more about Heta’s plans. Players also return to Hutta during a workers’ uprising in the Minboosa District, where they have to deal with the owner and businessman ‘Yusinduu the Hutt’.
- Dantooine Farmstead and Spring Abundance Festival – Star Wars: The Old Republicplayers get the chance to take a break from all the fighting and become the caretaker of a farm on Dantooine. Players go through a short storyline that introduces them to the farm and are then assigned a piece of land that they can farm. All this thanks to a deal that is almost too good to be true. During the Spring Abundance Festival, players can participate in many activities, such as seed collecting, dancing, cake baking, animal rehabilitation, and galactic egg hunting.
- The First of Many Single Player Ventures – Single Player Ventures will be added to the game, starting with ‘Basilisk Prototype’. This venture is directly tied to the ongoing Lane Vizla storyline and revolves entirely around training the Basilisk Prototype B3-S1, also known as Bessie. This prototype can become a companion for the player and be deployed periodically. The players must gradually train B3-S1 to maximize his potential and turn him into a permanent companion.
- New PvP Season Schedule – Starting with Update 7.5, PvP seasons will start on the day the update is released. So PvP Season 6 will start as soon as Update 7.5 is released.
- Cartel Market Updates – The Refined Mentor Lightsaber, Dualsaber, Armor Set and Hidden Chain Jetpack Mount are based on the High Republic era and will be available when Update 7.5 is released. Players can also unlock more customizations for their character, including the Baylan beard (famous from the Ahsoka series) and new enhanced color packs.
- Public Test Server – Players can try out the new content (excluding the narrative missions) as soon as it becomes available on the PTS.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is available for free on PC, but players can also subscribe to unlock the game’s expansions and more. For more information, visit Star Wars: The Old Republic to www.swtor.com.
