skewed horizon
It happens to everyone sometimes. A nice photo of the sunset turns out to be a bit skewed afterwards. Fortunately, a skewed horizon can be fixed in a few clicks.

Straighten Horizon on iOS
Apple’s Photos app also works on iPhones and iPads. Straightening the horizon goes like this:
- Tap the app photos.
- Tap the photo you want to edit.
- The photo appears large. Tap on Change.
- Tap the crop tool .
- With some photos, the app immediately recognizes that the horizon is skewed. This is then automatically corrected.
- Do you want to (still) adjust the photo yourself? Next to or below the photo is a line with dashes. Keep your finger on the line and swipe the screen. The photo is gridded and rotated. Straighten the horizon using the grid lines.
- Satisfied? Tap on Ready. Don’t want to make the edit? Then tap cancel > Delete changes.
