Keep the camera level while taking a photo? That’s pretty tough. Straighten the horizon in the Photos app and the photo becomes a sight to behold.

Photos app on iOS devices allows people to edit their captured photos. Thus it is possible to straighten the horizon. Once you discover this, your horizon will no longer be skewed.
Straighten Horizon
Straighten the horizon like this:
- Tap the app photos.
- Tap the photo you want to edit.
- The photo comes in large with a number of options. Tap on Change.
- Tap the crop tool
. - With some photos, the app recognizes that the horizon is skewed. This is then automatically corrected.
- Do you want to (still) adjust the photo yourself? Next to or below the photo is a line with dashes. Keep your finger on the line and swipe the screen. The photo is gridded and rotated. Straighten the horizon using the grid lines.
- Satisfied? Tap on Ready. Don’t want to make the edit? Then tap cancel > Delete changes.
