Strato VPS Linux Mini with 3 variants

Strato is one of the largest hosting providers in Europe and this summer announced the free HiDrive Share for sending large files. Now Strato has announced the VPS Linux Mini. A VPS is useful for hosting your own website, installing certain software or applications, using it for email traffic or storing files. Strato says the VPS Mini is ideal for hosting websites with low traffic or for testing and developing applications. And thanks to its low price, it is a great opportunity for beginners to gain experience in service management.

Why a VPS?
The abbreviation VPS stands for virtual private server, or a virtual server. With a VPS you rent part of a physical server. The hardware is shared with other users, but you do have your own management environment, just like on a dedicated server.

VPS Mini variants
The VPS Mini comes in three variants, all equipped with 1 vCore (a virtual core), but with different RAM and storage space. The smallest model has 1GB of RAM (or RAM) and a 30GB NVMe SSD, the largest model has 4 GB of RAM and a 75GB NVMe SSD. The mini servers can be configured as desired and have the same functionality as the regular servers. Users can install a Linux operating system such as Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux. You can switch operating systems at any time at no additional cost. You do this by starting a reinstallation of the server in the customer login.
When creating a website, you can register your own domain name and order additional SSL certificates. The costs depend on the chosen domain extension or the type of certificate.

Difference between a normal VPS and a VPS Linux Mini
A VPS Mini is a small virtual server. The VPS has 1 vCore and has slightly less storage space than regular virtual servers. But just like with a normal VPS, you can set up the server as you wish and you have full root access.
