Stress smell makes dogs pessimistic

Air laden with tension apparently has a detrimental effect on dogs’ mood: when they smell stressed people, they approach new things with a more pessimistic attitude, study results suggest. This could therefore be a form of emotional contagion between humans and animals, say the researchers.
