Also this year you can apply for a purchase subsidy for both the purchase of new and used electric cars. The subsidy pot was filled with an amount of €91.4 million. 30% of this has already been used, reports the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
In just under two weeks, 30 percent of the total subsidy available for the purchase of an electric car is used up. This is apparent from data published by the RVO on its website. The data is updated up to and including Thursday, January 13, 7:30 a.m.
The subsidy pot is subdivided into an amount that is intended for a subsidy for the purchase of new electric cars and into a part that is intended for the purchase of used EVs. A total of €71 million in so-called SEPP subsidy is available for the purchase of a new electric car. Of this, €22,116,700 has been requested, so a good 31 percent. That means there is still €48,883,300 available. The purchase subsidy for a new electric car is €3,350. If we calculate further, this means that a subsidy has been requested for 6,602 new electric cars up to and including Thursday morning, and that subsidy can still be requested for 14,592 copies. Please note, these are applications. This does not mean that every applicant will also receive a subsidy.
A total of €20.4 million in SEPP subsidy was available for the purchase of an electric used car. Of that more than 20 million, €5.24 million has now been requested, just under 26 percent. This means that there is still €15.16 million available. The purchase subsidy for a used EV is €2,000. A claim has therefore been made for the allowance for 2,620 used electric cars. The remaining €15 million accounts for 7,580 applications.
