Owners of the AirPods Max Attention, because Apple comes with a few very cool, new functions for the headphones. You need to know this!

From April your AirPods Max will sound better than ever. Thanks to a new software update, the headphones from Apple Lossless audio and extremely low delay will receive.

Unfortunately, there is a snag. You must have AirPods Max with a USB-C port to be able to use the new functions. The AirPods Max with Lightning connection therefore does not get the function. In addition, you must connect the AirPods. Apple now also has a USB-C-to-mini-jack cable for 45 euros in their range.

With this cable you can connect AirPods Max to a mini-jack connection, for example the audio gate on the plane. You can also connect your iOS or iPados device to a mini-jack connection with this cable, for example from a speaker or your sound system in the car.

Apple says the following about the update with the new functions for the AirPods Max:

With this update, AirPods Max 24-Bits, 48-KHz Lossless audio will be available. That means that the integrity of original recordings is preserved and you hear the music exactly as the artist had in the studio. In addition, Lossless audio works in personal spatial audio, so that you benefit from incredibly accurate, uncompressed sound. In Apple Music you can enjoy more than 100 million songs in Lossless audio.

AirPods Max (with USB-C)

In September from 2024, Apple released a new version of the AirPods Max. The headphones then became available with a USB-C port, so that you only need one cable to charge your AirPods, iPhone, iPad and MacBook. In addition, the AirPods Max got a few new colors. It then became available in the colors midnight, star light, blue, purple and orange.
