With the new DS925+ Diskstation DS925+, Synology is introducing a new NAS intended for the home office to companies looking for a NAS with good performance and reliable data management. It is also the first NAS in the 25 series that is only compatible with hard drives from Synology, why do you read below.
The DS925+ must tackle demanding workloads and is therefore equipped with double 2.5GBE ports and two M.2 slots for creating an all-flash storage pool or cache. Compared to its predecessor, the DS925+ delivers significant performance improvements with pre-configured settings-including 149% faster SMB downloads, 150% faster uploads, 131% faster reading rates and 150% faster writing speeds.
In addition to its performance, the new 4-Bay model also offers high capacity and scalability. In combination with the new DX525 expansion unit, it supports up to 9 disk positions and offers up to 180 TB of raw capacity, allowing users to expand to need if you have to save more data.
Compatibility
The DS925+ is a fully equipped system for consistent performance and reliability with Synology HDDs. It follows a carefully composed disk compatibility framework, supported by more than 7,000 hours of tests. To guarantee optimum integration and long -term reliability, DSM requires compatible hard drives for installation on the DS925+ compatible hard drives.
The DS925+ is the first NAS in the 25-series that is only compatible with Synology-HDDs.* The purpose of this is four-fold.
1. Strict disc tests ensure optimum compatibility.
2. Thanks to optimum performance, the maximum is extracted from the Synology-Nas.
3. The NAS performance is more stable thanks to special firmware.
4. In the case of technical problems, support is facilitated with a uniform solution.
Versatile functions for business workloads
Driven by Synology’s DiskStation Manager (DSM), the DS925+ offers versatile functions to meet various business data management needs:
• Synology Drive transforms the system into a private cloud, making access to multiple platforms and site to-site synchronization for distributed teams.
• Active Backup Suite offers extensive protection for Windows, Linux and MacOS devices, virtual machines and cloud accounts, with flexible options for off-site backup.
• Surveillance station provides scalable video management and offers real -time intelligent analyzes to protect physical assets.
“The 4-Bay Plus Series models have been installed more than a million times and have always been one of our most used products,” said Jeffrey Huang, product manager of Synology. “They are not only popular among professionals, but are also used as Edge servers by companies at remote locations and on sister offices. That is why the DS925+ is designed to deliver performance and reliability at company level.”
