The week is over and that means that a fresh app overview is waiting for you! As far as we are concerned, you should not miss these new apps, games and updates. You can find the best iOS apps from week 49 here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. However, you will hardly notice this, because only a small part of it is worth installing. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.
1. A Boy And His Blob
A Boy and His Blob was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989. Last year a polished version with better graphics was released. This edition can now be played on iOS. The idea is that you play a kid who helps a blob defeat a villain.
The blob can change into different shapes, advancing the boy through the many platform levels. As a platformer enthusiast, you really shouldn’t miss this one.

2. Spotify
Spotify Wrapped is the successor to Year in Music, the year-end list that Spotify has published during the festive month in recent years. This list is an overview of the most popular songs worldwide, in combination with your personal annual overview. This year, the streaming service divides this into two separate lists: the general and your personal list.
In the Spotify app you can find the overviews under ‘Browse> Genres and moods> Soundtrack 2017’. This ‘genre’ contains playlists with the most popular songs and artists, by genre. You can also click through to your personal 2017 Soundtrack. The app will then open a page in your web browser. Unfortunately, you cannot view the page in the app itself. Once on the page, log in with your Spotify account, after which you immediately get an overview of how much music you have listened to in the past year.

3. Hearthstone
A new expansion has appeared for Hearthstone, one of the most popular mobile games for Android. The expansion is called ‘Kobolds and Catacombs’ and introduces 135 new cards, which you unlock by earning packs from missions. You can also purchase packages with real money. The cards allow for new decks, strategies and tactics, making Hearthstone feel fresh again.
In addition to the new maps, a single player mode has also been added: the Dungeon Run. In this mode you start with ten cards and you have to compete against different bosses. Once you defeat an enemy, cards are added to your deck to be used against the next opponent.

4. Rappie
Rappie is a new service from Albert Heijn. The name of the app already reveals the set-up a bit: with Rappie you can order groceries, after which they are delivered super fast. For this Albert Heijn works together with SuperBuddy, a service that delivers delivery within two hours.
Rappie and the accompanying app currently only works in Rotterdam, but the service will soon be coming to other cities. You use the app’s search function to search for products and add them to your shopping cart. You then use your Albert Heijn profile to pay via iDEAL.
