Before the new week starts, let’s take a look back at the past few days. The iPhoned editors have rounded up this week’s best iPhone apps and updates for you.
This week’s best iPhone apps and games
The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates to existing programs and all kinds of games are popping up all the time. You will probably not notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. Every Sunday iPhoned therefore separates the wheat from the chaff. Here are the best iPhone apps and updates from last week.
1. Under: Depths of Fear
The new iOS game Under: Depths of Fear is not for the faint of heart. The game puts you in the shoes of traumatized war veteran Alexander Dockter. Alexander is sitting on a boat that is slowly sinking.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, your attempt to escape from the ship will be sabotaged by enemies. You experience the game through the eyes of Alexander, which makes it even more creepy. The game isn’t cheap, but the exciting story and lifelike graphics make it worth it.
2. Lost Centuria
The battle game Lost Centuria was released this week in the App Store. The card game is the latest edition of the well-known Summoners War series with similar games. You put together a team of eight monsters, each with their own attacks.
With your team you compete against other players. Have you just started? No worries. The game ensures that you only play with opponents who have the same level as you.
3. Santorini: Pocket Game
Have you always dreamed of a hotel in a sunny place? Then you can now improve your management skills in Santorini: Pocket Game. In this iPhone app, you take on the role of a resort manager on the idyllic Greek island of Santorini.
Here you build hotels and restaurants and give them a beautiful interior. Your job is to attract guests by meeting their needs as much as possible. In this way you develop the island more and more into the tourist attraction.
4. Garena Free Fire: Theater of Torment
Garena Free Fire already became the world’s most downloaded app in 2019 and 2020, and the game has now received a new Elite Pass with an update. This adds a completely new story called Theater of Torment.
In it, budding magicians David and Mysty have run away from home to pursue their dream. During a performance in the circus, a battle ensues between the performers. Each player uses his own talent against the other. There are various (new) rewards to earn, which make you even stronger.
5. Sixit
From Theater of Torment we go to a puzzle game with a cozier theme. In Sixit you play as little Pep, the smartest animal in the forest. Your task is to help others and protect them from the approaching storm.
You also need to find out where the storm is coming from so that you can stop it. As you walk through the forest you must find six hidden treasures that will give you clues about the secrets of the forest.
