The Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 have only minor upgrades compared to their predecessor. For example, the Series 9 is almost the same as the Series 8, which is almost the same as the Series 7.
Rumors have been circulating for a long time about a new design and a refresh for the Apple Watch
Usually reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the following: ‘The Apple Watch of 2024 is unlikely to have any significant innovative features.’ According to these rumors, the smartwatch will also not have a screen with microLED and no function for monitoring blood sugar levels.
Take this rumor with a grain of salt
Kuo’s message is a bit vague, because he does not directly refer to the Apple Watch Series 10 or Apple Watch It could therefore also mean that there will be a standard Apple Watch that hardly changes, and a new version with cool innovations that will succeed the Apple Watch Ultra.
Kuo further claims that the microLED screen and blood sugar monitoring feature may not even be in the Apple Watch Series 11. This mainly depends on how technology continues to develop.
Mark Gurman makes other predictions
Kuo’s claims contradict those of Mark Gurman. Gurman has high expectations for the Apple Watch X release in 2024. According to him, Apple has developed a new mechanism with magnetic straps for the tenth anniversary of the Apple Watch. Apple is also working on a microLED screen and blood pressure measurement, although this is not directly linked to the release of the Apple Watch
Both Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman have been wrong about the Apple Watch in the past. For example, they both expected an Apple Watch Series 7 with a flat screen, but that never materialized.
