Germany’s forests groaned under climate change. Storms and extremely hot summer weaken the trees, parasites and illnesses give them the rest. The greatest damage is shown in pure coniferous forests: whole spruce forests are destroyed by the bark beetle, jaw plantations are up in flames. But it not only affects the needle tree plantations planted in nature. Books suffer from sunburn and microbes, mountain pines and ahorne can increasingly defend themselves against introduced mushrooms (see p. 64). This development will continue. Because, according to the forecasts of the global climate, the temperatures, global and in Europe, continue to increase significantly and increase the weather.
