The forest becomes smart

Forests are real climate protectors. Only understandable that there are initiatives for reforestation worldwide. However, the CO₂ balance can even worsen an informal reforestation. Now with the help of AI, vertical farming, drones, sensors and other high -tech, planting new trees and forests should become more sustainable.

They rave about. Five black drones, each about 30 kilos, fly in a network over a forest area in the US state of Washington. Or what is left of this. Because in the pictures that send the drones, you can only see coaled stumps and also a lot of wooden coal black remains of a coniferous forest. However, the drones did not come to document the damage. It is the first phase of your work. They should help to make reforestation faster, better and more efficient – and they are just one of the many new techniques that are just moving into the forest.
