The iPhone trick that makes you never have to fill in an email again

One of the biggest irritations for many iPhone users is typing your email address into new services or online forms. This hack will make your online life a lot more pleasant.

Numerous sites and services (of course) want you to enter your email address so that you can be verified. But let’s be honest: that’s just plain annoying. But with a simple trick that is quickly done. Anyway, we love ‘hacks’ that make our lives easier.

Entering an email address on your iPhone is now a breeze

In itself, typing in your e-mail address is fairly quick to do. iCloud Keychain and Autofill on Safari work to a certain extent, especially for services you use frequently. Still, not all iPhone users use Safari or iCloud Keychain.

So signing up for new services, entering contests, and more just eats up joy and energy. Typing your entire email address endlessly is almost a day’s work.

Part of the problem is iOS autocorrect. Autocorrect has never been great (exasperatingly so), but it’s barely useful when typing in notes, messages, or emails. In all honesty, I turned it off because it makes more mistakes than it helps me. Must be due to my weird vocabulary.

So when you try to type in your email address on your iPhone with autocorrect on, things often get messy. Understandable, because your email address is not an existing word.

Of course you always have the option to add it as a word, but that aside. The ‘hack’ below is just easier.

This hack replaces your email address with an abbreviation

So the most convenient option is an easy hack. You only need to abbreviate your entire email address for example ‘@@’. You do this in your Keyboard settings. To do this, go to on your iPhone Institutions, General and Keyboards. Here you will find the option Text replacement.

Now simply add a handy abbreviation for your email address and you’ll never have to write out the whole address on your iPhone again.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
