The Kia Carnival has been missing from the range here in the Netherlands for years, but in other places the South Koreans still find enough customers for the MPV. The next generation has now been found for the first time during test work.
The years of success of the MPV are already far behind us here in the Netherlands. In Asia and North America, however, they still love space giants. The Kia Carnival, for sale in America as Sedona, is certainly not to be seen. In 2018, the current generation was freshened up for a second run, but the successor takes about a year. The fourth generation makes its first test kilometers, which you can see on your screen here.
Of course, the MPV retains its spatial forms, but it seems that the new Carnival / Sedona has a somewhat more elongated and angular carriage than the current one. The window line is relatively slightly lower and the nose is slightly less slanted. Furthermore, the camouflage leaves much to the imagination. Of course, the renewal will also clearly show itself at the technical level. The outgoing Carnival already dates from 2014. Expect large four- and six-cylinder petrol engines again, this time probably also supported with electric power. After all, the new Sorento also comes with a form of hybrid drive and the Carnival in terms of drive is generally the trick for its SUV brother.
