Apple Intelligence was announced on the WWDC 2024. Apple’s new technology works with artificial intelligence and brings many new functions to the iPhone, iPad and Mac (book). Almost all Apple apps are expanded with Apple Intelligence. This way you get a handy writing aid that summarizes, rewrite and check texts. That is not all, because Siri becomes much smarter due to the integration of chatgpt.
In addition, editing photos becomes easier with the help of Apple Intelligence and you can put together images yourself. Apple Intelligence is the biggest change in years, but is unfortunately not available on all the company devices. All AI functions require a lot of computing power, which not all processors-in older devices in particular-do not have. We put all devices among each other with support for Apple Intelligence.

Are you going to buy a new iPhone, iPad or Mac (book) soon? Then it is advisable to properly check on which processor the device is running. Only the devices with the latest chips work with Apple Intelligence. Devices that run on an M1 chip, A17 Pro chip or newer are expanded with all the new functions of Apple Intelligence. Release of Apple Intelligence
Apple Intelligence is therefore available on almost all of Apple’s new devices, but is missing on the Apple Watch, HomePod and Apple TV. Pay particular attention if you buy a new iPad, because the iPad 2025 has no support for Apple Intelligence due to the A16 Bionic chip. Don’t you mind? Then you can save a lot of money and choose the iPad 2025. If you want to use all the new functions of Apple Intelligence, you should choose the iPad Mini, iPad Air or the iPad Pro.
At the moment the iPad Mini 2024 is the cheapest way to get Apple Intelligence. With the iPhone that is the iPhone 16th, which Apple released in early 2025. It is not yet clear when all devices in the Netherlands and Belgium will be expanded with Apple Intelligence. The technology can be used here in English from April, the Dutch version will probably only follow at the end of 2025 or in 2026.
