The iPhone 16th has the same 48-megapixel wide-angle lens as the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus, but nevertheless lacks some camera features.
This is missing on the camera of the iPhone 16th
With the 48-megapixel Fusion Lens, the iPhone 16th camera has a standard 1x display and a 2x zoom option. The camera of the 16th has no telephoto lens, so there are no other optical zoom options. There is also no ultra -wide angle lens, so you can’t take macro photos. And because there is only one lens, there is also no option for spatial photos and videos. Furthermore, the camera control is missing on the new iPhone.
The camera of the iPhone 16th offers the same options for True Tone, Photonic Engine, Deep Fusion and Smart HDR 5 as those of the iPhone 16. But the iPhone 16th does not support ‘portraits of the newest generation’ with the latest photographic styles. When taking portrait photos, there is an option to adjust the focus afterwards. Change the entire topic of the photo by shifting the focus, as is possible with the iPhone 16, unfortunately is not possible with the iPhone 16th.
Photographic styles, filming and front camera
The newer photographic styles are therefore not available on the camera of the iPhone 16th, but only on those of the iPhone 16, 16 Pro and Pro Max. With those photographic styles you can set a general look for all photos taken with the iPhone camera. The older style filters are available on the 16th.
Furthermore, various video recording functions are missing, including the Cinematic Mode and the action mode. If you are planning to film many fast movements, then you are better off with an iPhone 16 Pro (Max). The New Audio mix-Function is also supported on the iPhone 16th.
Regarding the front camera, the iPhone 16 and 16th have the same functions, with the exception of support for cinematic fashion, photographic styles and deep control for portrait photos. Furthermore, Quicktake videos are up to 1080p.
