The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is currently in the news, as many new products are announced. Nevertheless, we are already looking forward to the other launches planned for this month. You can expect these smartphone launches in March.
1. OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro
The international launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro is coming. The flagship was announced in its home country of China at the beginning of this year, and the company said at MWC that the phone will be available in India, Europe and North America by the end of March. The time frame between the two launches is also considerable. Nevertheless, the release is still very early. Last year, the official sales of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro started from April 26 and March 31.
Contrary to rumors, the phone comes with OxygenOS, including its own design. One new software shell for the phones of OnePlus and OPPO has been shelved. According to our interview with OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, research has shown that fans of both smartphone brands prefer separate software shells.
The OnePlus 10 seems to be a bit snowed under in all the news about its bigger brother. Rumor has it that this phone will also be announced in March, but possibly only in India for now. It is unknown if or when the phone will come to Europe, but we hope to see the phone together with the Pro model just like in previous years.
2. Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi Pro
The Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X were officially announced in China late last year. Of course we can also expect the first two in Europe, although that will be a bit later than expected. Last year Xiaomi came out in the Netherlands on February 8 with the Mi 11, but according to rumors, we would not hear all the details about the device until the end of February or early March. February has passed and now our eyes are on March. According to android planet March is the month when we get to see the Xiaomi 12 series in Europe. Xiaomi is said to have planned an online event on March 15.
The new flagships feature strong specs such as Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, AMOLED displays, fast charging, wireless charging and a 50MP main camera. All details about these new smartphones can be found here.
