The Fiat 500 is not exactly an autobahn monster and even with an Abarth 595 you still have to be careful not to delay faster guys in the left lane. However, not with this version. The Giannini Spettacolo is quickly enough.
The Italian Giannini Automobili has worked on the Abarth 595 without any modesty and the result is nothing short of spectacular. That is why the creation is also called ‘Spettacolo’. The Giannini Spettacolo is a considerably more developed 595, including thicker wheel arches, a hood with all kinds of extra bits, a thick roof spoiler, sturdy side skirts and strikingly streamlined wheels.
The latter is thanks to carbon fiber hubcaps and should probably contribute to the Giannini Spettacolo being as fast as possible in a straight line. Well, whether the Spettacolo is fast. According to its creators, it reaches a top speed of 280 km/h and this is also thanks to a greatly improved version of the well-known 1.4 T-Jet four-cylinder engine. In the Spettacolo it pumps out no less than 250 hp of power and 360 Nm of torque. The jump from 0 to 100 km/h is therefore done in just 5 seconds. By the way, some weight reduction also helps; the Spettacolo weighs less than a ton. There will be only 200 copies, reportedly costing at least €133,000 each.
