Expensive, but full
The Lexus LS, the top model of the Japanese, recently received a new infotainment system. Now we also know what the slightly updated LS should cost exactly.
The current Lexus LS appeared in 2017. A fairly extensive facelift followed in 2020, including new headlights and a differently arranged front bumper. The strikingly lined limousine also received a revised infotainment system with a different touchscreen. That was appreciated, because in the original model, operation was only possible via the touchpad, which was quite annoying in practice. That touchpad now disappears completely, while the still large touchscreen offers access to a new, sleeker and more modern infotainment environment.
As previously announced, the updated LS will cost at least about 140 grand. To be precise, it is about €140,750, for which the car is ready as a hybrid LS 500h Luxury Line. The starting price is therefore somewhat higher than with the mostly plug-in hybrid competition, although the equipment is also more spacious than with the alternatives. Lexus, for example, installs a sliding roof, a 28-way adjustable driver’s seat, seat heating and ventilation and steering wheel heating as standard. The four-wheel drive version, aptly named LS 500h AWD, costs €155,750 as a Luxury Line.
Those who prefer a sportier LS, will pay at least €145,595 for an F-Sport. With AWD that comes to €160,595. There is even more luxury in the form of the Executive line. It is only available with four-wheel drive and then costs €168,495. The top model, the President Line, is also only available as AWD. It has, among other things, the phenomenal Mark Levinson audio system, even more extensive front and rear seats and sunshades in the back as standard. The price of all that beauty: €186,595.
