- Download the Apple TV Remote app for your iPhone or iPad and turn on your Apple TV;
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the same WiFi network as your Apple TV;
- Open the Remote app on your phone or tablet and choose your Apple TV;
- On your Apple TV, go to ‘Settings’, choose ‘General’ and go to ‘Remotes’;
- Enter the four-digit code shown on your iPhone or iPad.
It is important that your iPhone / iPad is connected to the same WiFi network as your Apple TV. This allows them to communicate with each other. So check in advance whether you are not accidentally on 4G with your iPhone.
