Digital calendar
That is all nice information for the football fan. But if you really want to follow the European Championship properly, it is nice to have the schedule in the agenda. Fortunately, there are ways to import this schedule into the digital calendar. It does not matter whether you use a calendar from Google, Microsoft (Outlook) or Apple.
To import the schedule of the European Football Championship into your online calendar, please go to the site of UEFA. Despite the fact that it is 2021, the football organization still calls the football tournament Euro 2020 because the tournament has been postponed for a year due to the Corona pandemic. However, the schedule that we import will simply receive 2021 data.
UEFA site
You can see the schedule clearly on the UEFA site. But that’s not what we’re here for. Click at the top left Add to Calendar. In the overview that follows, you can then choose which countries you want to include the schedule in the agenda. In addition to the Netherlands, you can also add other trendsetters such as Belgium and France, or for example pool members Austria and North Macedonia. Or, if you really want to stay informed about everything, tick each country. Then click again Add to Calendar. In the window that follows, UEFA will fish for your email address for more info (and probably marketing purposes). If you don’t need this, press Skip.
Finally you get a window with a button Copy Link. When you click on it appears (and you copy a link to your clipboard). You can import this into the calendar you are using. By linking the calendar to your Microsoft account, or your Google and Apple account, you have a clear overview of the match schedule on your PC. Windows or on your smartphone and tablet. In some cases it also works to open the link created on the UEFA site on your device.

google calendar
If you use a Google account, you can easily import this calendar into your Google calendar. Handy even if you use an Android smartphone, for example. Open in your browser https://calendar.google.com (we use the desktop site for this). In the left navigation menu, press the plus sign next to Other calendars and Via url. In the window that appears, copy the link you obtained from the UEFA site and press Add calendar.

Microsoft account
At Microsoft there are several ways to add a calendar. For example in Outlook, where you press the calendar icon at the bottom left and then at the top right + Add / From Internet. In the window that appears, paste the link, after which you confirm with OK.
However, the easiest way is to link the calendar to your Microsoft account via the browser. Here too we use the desktop browser. Go to https://outlook.live.com/calendar and press Add calendar in the left navigation menu. Choose Subscribe via the internet and paste the url here.

Apple iCloud Calendar
If you use a Mac, iPad or iPhone, it is useful to place the match overview in your Apple iCloud account. Unfortunately, things are slightly different here than with the other accounts. Apple does not allow you to add a calendar in the browser version of iCloud. You are forced to use a client or Apple device on the iPhone, the iPad or the Mac.
In this case we use the iPhone. Go to the site of UEFA with this, press Add to Calendar and select the countries you want to follow and optionally enter your email address. At the link that opens, your device will ask if this calendar can be added to your iCloud calendar. Confirm with OK.
On a Mac, open the Calendar application and then click File / New calendar subscription. Paste the UEFA site webcal url in the web address box and click Subscribe. Enter a name and color for the calendar and confirm with OK.
