It’s been a while since Apple released the iPhone 15, which means the first price drops have started. While Apple’s prices for the iPhone 15 remain the same for the entire year, providers do offer the latest iPhone at a lower price. To save money, it is important to buy the iPhone 15 (Pro) at the right time.

The offers are often only temporary, for example the iPhone 15 was heavily discounted during Black Friday. At Apple you pay the following as standard for the latest iPhones:

• iPhone 15: 969 euros
• iPhone 15 Plus: 1119 euros
• iPhone 15 Pro: 1229 euros
• iPhone 15 Pro Max: 1479 euros

Buy iPhone 15 (Plus).

We also saw that this year, because the iPhone 15 (Plus) was much cheaper during Black Friday. Providers often raise prices again in the weeks before the holidays, so avoid that period if you want to save costs. Prices drop again in January.

It is therefore expected that the prices of the iPhone 15 (Plus) will rise again soon. At the moment you can still get the latest iPhones at a favorable price: for the iPhone 15 you currently pay € 888,- for the iPhone 15 Plus that is € 1,057. The smaller version is currently discounted. We recommend that you buy the iPhone 15 as soon as possible, because the purchase price will probably increase again soon.

Buy iPhone 15 Pro (Max).

This year, Apple opted for a titanium casing for the iPhone 15 Pro (Max), which makes the phone less likely to break. In addition, both phones have the fast A17 Pro chip and a new action button. Apple has gone one step further with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, because that device has a tetraprism telephoto lens. This allows you to zoom in much further with the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The iPhone 15 Pro (Max) is a lot more expensive and unfortunately the price is falling less quickly than we see with the normal iPhone 15. We saw the same thing last year with the iPhone 14 Pro: you could only get it much cheaper after about five months. This is probably the case again with the iPhone 15 Pro (Max), you will only get the phone at a lower price in the spring. So just be patient.

However, you will not pay the top price for the iPhone 15 Pro (Max), so be quick if you want the device before the holidays. Prices will probably rise slightly again soon, while you currently pay € 1,169 for the iPhone 15 Pro and € 1,416 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Can you wait a little longer before buying a new iPhone? Then wait a few more months to save money.

Another option: refurbished iPhones

If you do not want to pay the top price for the latest iPhone, it is also advisable to look at refurbished iPhones. These are telephones that have already been used, but certain parts have been replaced. The difference with a second-hand smartphone is that with a refurbished device you have an ‘as good as new’ experience. You also receive a warranty and a purchase receipt.

You often pay a lot less for refurbished iPhones, but that does not always have to be the case.
