XL, XLT and Wildtrak
Ford Netherlands has finished the price list for the new Ford Ranger. It starts with the XL and ends with the Raptor, but as usual, Ford expects the most from the Wildtrak version.
According to Ford, the Ford Ranger is the most popular pick-up in Europe, although that may differ here and there if we include the gray import. In any case, it is a relevant product for Ford and we still see the Ranger in the Netherlands quite often. The relatively compact pick-up is available in its new form from €31,510. For that money there is a pick-up with a single cabin and a long loading platform, which of course meets the Tax Authorities requirements for the gray license plate. You guessed it: all prices are exclusive of VAT and bpm. The bpm exemption for non-electric company cars does not last forever, but it will still apply for the time being.
Those who prefer a little more covered space can opt for the Super Cab. This ‘one and a half cab’ costs 1,200 euros extra and therefore has a starting price of €32,350. The Ranger XL includes a 10-inch touchscreen with the Sync4 infotainment system as standard. Under the hood is a two-litre diesel engine with 170 hp.
If you want a more luxurious, but still ‘effective’ Ranger, you can opt for the XLT. That version costs at least €35,410 and has the Super Cab cabin and a six-speed automatic transmission as standard, plus other nice extras. Even more luxury is available with the Wildtrak, which, according to Ford, accounted for 60 percent of sales with the outgoing Raptor. The new Ford Ranger Wildtrak costs at least €42,710 ex.
Those who want more power can also opt for a twin-turbo version of the two-liter diesel engine. It produces 205 instead of 170 hp and is linked to a 10-speed instead of a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Ford Ranger Raptor
The top model of the Ranger series is the Raptor. That version has a double cabin that is equipped with a partition for the Netherlands and distinguishes itself with, among other things, an extra rugged appearance. It is also the only Ranger to include a 3.0-litre petrol V6. The price of the Ranger Raptor was already known, but is now slightly higher at €56,250. In time, the Ranger Raptor will also be available with a diesel engine.
