AutoWeek can already show you the even bigger brother of the #1: the Smart #3. We turned up the images in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Transport and Information Technology. The model registrations to which the photos belong also provide interesting information about the car.

We can already report that the Smart #3 will be no less than 4.4 meters long, 1.84 meters wide and 1.56 meters high. Those dimensions more or less correspond to those of, say, a Toyota C-HR. The #3 exceeds the already well-known Smart #1 in length by almost 20 centimetres. The wheelbase of the Smart #3 is 2.79 meters and in turn is 4 centimeters longer than that of the #1.
The Smart #3 seems to be an SUV-like with a relatively sharply sloping roofline. Just like the #1, the Smart #3, which was developed under the wings of Daimler and the Chinese Geely, is an EV. There will be versions with a 272 hp electric motor on the rear axle and there is a variant that, in addition to the 272 hp electric motor, also has a 156 hp electric motor on the front axle. Regardless of the chosen version, the top speed is 180 km/h.
