This is the new Hyundai i20

Yesterday the first images of the new i20 popped up too early and now it is Hyundai itself that is pulling the digital canvas of its youngest model.

A lot has happened in the so-called B-segment in recent years. Cars like the Opel Corsa, Peugeot 208, Renault Clio and Volkswagen Polo were helped to a whole new generation and Hyundai’s i20 is now also undergoing a rejuvenation cure. Geneva is home to the all-new third generation i20, a car that is now making its digital world debut after a first leak.

Hyundai is increasingly pouring a strikingly sharply spiced design sauce on its new models. Cars like the new Sonata and the new Santa Fe attract attention and also the ix25 and Avante, which are not available here, are characterized by their striking appearance. Hyundai christens the used design language ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ and it is the corporate identity that the i20 now also benefits from. The i20 has a strikingly shaped C-pillar, sharply aligned headlights and a wide grille to which the headlights connect. At the rear, the lighting touch units are connected to each other by a reflective strip and the rear spoiler also catches the eye here.

Hyundai does not yet show real photos of the interior. The Koreans do release a sketch that already gives away what the new will bring. Vertical lines have been applied over the entire width of the dashboard that should suggest that the entire dashboard is an outflow opening of the ventilation system. Hyundai reports an interior in which the digital instruments more or less connect to the infotainment screen. Both displays have a diameter of 10.25 inches.
