Now the iPhone SE has a dated jacket, but from 2024 the entry-level iPhone will look a lot more contemporary. According to a reliable Apple analyst, the next generation iPhone SE will have a large screen, without a home button.
Design iPhone SE 4
With the home button for Touch ID, the large bezels around the screen and the small 4.7-inch display, the iPhone SE 2022 needs a refresh. That more modern design will come with the next iPhone SE, predicts the very knowledgeable Apple analyst Ross Young.
Young reports that Apple plans to release an iPhone SE with a 6.1-inch display in 2024. At the top of the screen is a notch for the selfie camera. It doesn’t look like the latest iPhone 14 Pro, but is glued to the top of the screen just like older iPhone models.
It is unclear whether the notch is equipped with the TrueDepth camera system necessary for facial recognition (Face ID). There have been rumors that the iPhone SE won’t get Face ID, to keep costs down. In that case, Touch ID remains present. According to reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is integrating the fingerprint sensor into the power button, just like the iPad Air.
Just like the iPhone XR

It has long been rumored that Apple has plans for an iPhone SE that looks exactly like the iPhone XR. This device appeared in 2018, alongside the more advanced iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch LCD screen, with a notch at the top for Face ID. The device has a single camera on the back.
It wouldn’t be the first time that the iPhone SE borrows the housing from an older iPhone model. The current iPhone SE – which appeared in March this year – is almost a copy of the iPhone 8 from 2017. The main difference is that Apple has put a more powerful A15 Bionic chip in it.
