This is why an iPhone 14 event on September 7 is becoming increasingly likely

Earlier today we wrote that Apple will hold the iPhone 14 event on September 7, according to Apple analyst Mark Gurman. We also wrote that we had our doubts about that. But the rumor is growing more and more likely…

iPhone 14 event: September 7

The reason it’s increasingly likely that the iPhone 14 will be announced on September 7 comes from a recent tweet from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Like Mark Gurman, Ming-Chi Kuo is generally a very reliable source. In the relevant tweet, he indicates that the expected delivery date of the new iPhone this year, he says, will be earlier than in other years.

Ming-Chi Kuo .’s tweet

Ming-Chi Kuo said in the tweet: “The announcement/delivery of the iPhone 14 may be earlier than that of the iPhone 13/12. That may be one of the reasons Apple showed a positive Q3 2022 earnings outlook.”

He then adds: ‘The risk of a global recession is still increasing and is unpredictable. By announcing/delivering the iPhone as soon as possible, the impact of that risk on demand may be mitigated.”

Announcing iOS 16 also earlier

In addition to the iPhone 14, Apple is also announcing iOS 16 this fall. If it turns out to be true that the iPhone 14 will be announced on September 7, we expect that this will also be the case for iOS 16.

iOS 16 will also be a major update, which will add a lot of new functions to your iPhone. The most notable features so far include a new lock screen, an improved Focus mode, and new messaging features. But you can safely expect a lot more features with the arrival of iOS 16 and the iPhone 14.
