It’s always fun to find new, hidden features on your iPhone. And in this case it’s a feature we know from the most beloved MP3 player ever: the Apple iPod. It’s the classic game music quiz.
Oh the warm, nostalgic feelings we have for Apple’s MP3 player are huge, despite the iPhone taking over all its functions. The company announced the device in 2001 and was a resounding success. Not surprising with a storage capacity of 5GB, an excellent menu and a handy dial.
Apple has secretly put an iPod quiz on the iPhone
We also played games like Solitaire, Parachute and Brick. Another cool feature was music quiz, where your iPod asks questions about the music in your library. Now you can do that on your iPhone too.
music quiz is back on your Apple iPhone (well, for a while, but maybe people might not know). The game is part of the Shortcuts app and was launched in 2020 for iOS 14. The assumption is that music quiz was added to show people what is possible with the app.
You probably don’t need to install Music Quiz. Just check if it’s on your iPhone by typing the name into the search function. To be able to play it you must of course have music in your library anyway, that was also the case on the iPod.
Random questions and answers
The game on your iPhone then gives you random questions about your music. It plays a number and you have to guess what number it is by offering you random answers. You play five rounds.
Perhaps it is music quiz no secret or surprise to some, but if you didn’t know this yet: have fun with this iPhone app!
