This simple iPhone trick will immediately save you a lot of time

We spend a lot of time on our iPhone every day. It is therefore a shock every Monday when you see an overview of how much screen time you spend on average per day. Yet there is now a way for many people to save a lot of time.

On our iPhone it is sometimes really a mess. We are not just talking about a cluttered screen, an e-mail box with hundreds of open e-mails or unsorted notes. No, sometimes that junk is just in Safari because of your own doing.

A mess on your iPhone

A discussion that you probably recognize is the usefulness of closing apps to save battery. Apple says you don’t have to do this, so we’re leaving all apps open by default. You will also see a similar behavior with tabs, but there is a problem with that and I mainly speak from my own experience.

It happens very often that I leave way too many tabs open on my iPhone. I open a link in WhatsApp that my friends send to me. And hoppa, another extra tab open. Then I forget to close it again. The result is clear, a lot of tabs open, which I have to close one by one, because otherwise everything really becomes too cluttered.

This is how you proceed in Safari

Today Years Old shares the iPhone trick on Twitter and it turns out to be incredibly simple. All you have to do is open Safari and then press the two squares at the bottom right. If you hold down that icon, you’ll be presented with an entire menu that you’re probably not familiar with. Not only does this make it easy to open new tabs, you can also easily create tab groups.

The nicest option, however, is another one. You can also easily close all open tabs in Safari in this menu. Whether it’s two or a hundred. That saves you scrolling on your iPhone and therefore a lot of time.

But there is also another trick. It is possible to close all your tabs automatically when you have visited them. For this you go to Institutions>Safari>Close tabs. Here you can instruct your iPhone to close tabs after one day, one week or one month.
